-
What Are The Age Requirements?
From 14 weeks your dog can enjoy a solo session or join our puppy classes (until 6 months).
Our senior group has a minimum age of 9 years.
All other group types have a minimum age of 6 months.
-
Can i join my dog in the water and will anyone else be in the pool?
We actively encourage you to join your furry friend in the water to help entice them in and spend some quality time together.
One of our fully trained staff members will be present in the water at all times to ensure the safety of your dog.
Group sessions are open to other members of the public, for sole use of the pool, please book a solo session.
-
What do I need to do before bringing my dog along?
Please refrain from feeding your dog for 2 hours before and after swimming.
Wait at least 48hrs after applying topical medications (such as flea treatment).
Ensure nails are trimmed short to avoid damage to the pool liner.
Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations or titre tested.
Dogs recovering from injury must be cleared by their vet for swimming before visiting.
-
How long are the sessions?
Sessions are limited to 30 minutes (including entrance/exit time). Swimming can be intensive (1 minute of swimming = approximately 1 mile of walking for a dog) therefore short sessions are in the dogs best interest.
-
What session should i book for my first time?
First time visits should use the solo session option, the pool surroundings can be unfamiliar and a dogs swimming capability must be assessed before group sessions are used.
-
Does my dog need to be on lead?
Our pool is within an enclosed paddock and a leash is not required inside, however to reach the enclosed site, dogs must be leashed when exiting the vehicle at the designated parking area and walked up the access path.
-
How do we get in the pool?
Humans enter the pool via the side ladder. Dogs enter via the dock platform and ramp.
Dogs must enter of their own accord, DO NOT THROW, PUSH OR SHOVE YOUR DOG. Anyone doing so will be asked to leave.
-
Do you allow restricted breeds such as the XL Bully?
Yes, restricted breeds (such as the XL bully) are allowed, provided they have the necessary registration and insurance. (proof will be required beforehand or upon arrival)
-
My dog is reactive, can they still come?
Reactivity does not immediately exclude a dog from visiting, however in an emergency a human (staff member) may need to touch your dog, if you feel your dog may be aggressive in this situation then unfortunately we are not suitable for you. Any signs of aggression during a group session will result in you being asked to leave.
